MEET NATALIE GEE

Natalie is running for District 4 Supervisor to make sure working families and everyday people are prioritized at City Hall.

Natalie Gee (朱凱勤) was born and raised in San Francisco and educated at Lowell High and SF State. She has spent over twenty years fighting to make sure every neighborhood and every voice counts.

Natalie's activism started in her childhood. As a kid, Natalie translated English to Cantonese so her mother could understand what was happening at neighborhood meetings. Community activism lit a fire under Natalie. Once she registered to vote on her eighteenth birthday, Natalie dedicated her life to civic engagement.

Natalie organized in Chinatown for over ten years, co-founding Youth MOJO to empower high schoolers to take action on issues affecting their lives. She brought Chinese and Latinx youth together through Common Roots, proving that our diverse communities are strongest when we stand united.

Natalie has secured important legislative victories as the Chief of Staff in the Board of Supervisors District 10 Office. Natalie fought to bring San Francisco:

  • Language access protections

  • Crucial bus service restorations

  • Bilingual police officers to the community for weekly office hours with monolingual Chinese speakers

  • COVID hazard pay for grocery workers

  • A ban on predatory e-cigarettes without FDA approval

  • Women's health advancements

  • San Francisco's first Pacific Islander Cultural District

Natalie ensures working-class families are heard and represented in City Hall.

Natalie created San Francisco's first joint Black History Month and Lunar New Year celebration with the community in Visitacion Valley because she knows our city thrives when we celebrate together and connect with each other.

Natalie fights for worker rights every day as an active union member with IFPTE Local 21, and as a delegate to the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, and the San Francisco Labor Council. She is fluent in Cantonese, can read and write in Chinese, and understand Mandarin. Natalie lives in the Sunset with her husband Ryan.
